The annual Katina Cheewara Pooja (offering of a robe) festival of Sri Dalada Maligawa was held yesterday(Oct.22) & today(Oct.23). This festival which was held with the blessings of the chief incumbents of both Malwathu & Asgiri chapters, under the guidance of Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Siddhartha Medhankara thero – Senior Committee Member of Malwathu chapter and under the organization of Ven. Kothmale Sudharma theri of Ladyblake temple, Katukele under the sponsorship of Mr Vajeendra Fernando & family of Anuradhapura. The event was held under the presence of a limited crowd unlike other years, adhering to health & hygienic guidelines.
ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගයේ වාර්ෂික කඨින චීවර පූජා මහෝත්සවය ඊයේ (ඔක්. 22) දින සහ අද (ඔක්. 23) යන දෙදින පවත්වන්නට විය. මල්වතු හා අස්ගිරි උභය මහා විහාරීය අතිපූජ්‍ය මහානායක මාහිමිපාණන් වහන්සේලාගේ ආශිර්වාද‍යෙන් සහ ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ වත්මන් තේවාව භාර මල්වතු පාර්ශවයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ කාරක සංඝ සභික අතිපූජ්‍ය තිත්බටුවාවේ සිද්ධාර්ථ මේධංකර නාහිමිපාණන් වහන්සේගේ උපෙද්ශකත්වයෙන් යුතුව මහනුවර, කටුකැලේ ලේඩිබ්ලේක් ආරාමාධිපතිනී කොත්මලේ සුධර්මා සිල් මෑණියගේ සංවිධායකත්වයෙන් පැවති කඨින චීවර පූජා මහෝත්සවය සඳහා අනුග්‍රහය දැක්වූයේ අනුරාධපුර පදිංචි වජීන්ද්‍ර ප්‍රනාන්දු මැතිතුමා ඇතුළු පවුලේ පිරිස විසිනි. පෙර වර්ෂයන්වල විශාල පිරිසකගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් පැවැත්වෙන ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගයේ කඨින චීවර පූජා මහෝත්සවය මෙවර සෞඛ්‍ය මාර්ගෝපදේශයන්ට අනුව ඉතා සීමිත පිරිසක් පමණක් සහභාගි කර සිදු කෙරිණී.
