★ Hand over footwear, bulky luggage and non-essential items to the reception booths and get the corresponding token before entering the temple premises.
(Two separate booths have been set up for local devotees and foreign tourists.)
★ Please note that all persons entering the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic will be screened at the entrance.
(All items including the offerings brought, will be checked with the help of scanning machines.)
★ Avoid bringing harmful materials like polythene, plastic to the temple premises.
★ Avoid bringing offerings in polythene bags or plastic bags/ containers.
★ Please be respectfully attired when visiting the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
(Please Note: No shorts, sleeveless or body revealing attire is allowed)
The temple is open for devotees every day from 5.30 a.m. till 8.00 p.m. (+0530 GMT)
- Early Period of Service: 5.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.
- Middle Period of Service: 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.
- Evening Period of Service: 6.30 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
Nanumura Mangallaya is held every Wednesday at 9.30 am.
(A special herbal preparation is made for Nanumura Mangallaya which has a lot of healing power)
Every day at 10.00 a.m.& 7.00 p.m. children could be offered. The child should have completed 3 months but not more than 3 months. The child can be accompanied by one elder to the “Wedasitina Maligaya” or the Inner Chamber.

Every Wednesday he could be met at his office at Sri DaladaMaligawa. A prior appointment to be booked through the administration division of Sri DaladaMaligawa. (Contact number of administration division +94 812204867)
There is a special service available for those with special needs. If your family member or friend need special assistance, please call the administration office (0812234226) to avail the transportation service from the main entrance and to use the lift.
