★ Remember that all persons entering the perennial temple must be fully guarded at the entrance.

(Mobile phones, Metal items, Luggage and Belts should be removed and after
they are screened, they can be collected with Flowers, Prikara and all other Religious items.)

★ Please be kind enough to be decently attired when visiting Sri Dalada Maligawa.

★ Ensure to hand over your shoes, large bags & unnecessary parcels to the shoe counter before entering the temple premises.

★ Bringing polythene or plastic to the temple premises is Strictly Prohibited.

★ Refrain from bringing Polythene, Food & offerings in Plastic containers.

The temple is open for devotees every day from 5.30 a.m. till 8.00 p.m. (+0530 GMT)

  • Early Period of Service: 5.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.
  •  Middle Period of Service: 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.
  •  Evening Period of Service: 6.30 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.

Nanumura Mangallaya is held every Wednesday at 9.30 am.
(A special herbal preparation is made for Nanumura Mangallaya which has a lot of healing power)

Every day at 10.00 a.m.& 7.00 p.m. children could be offered. The child should have completed 3 months but not more than 3 months. The child can be accompanied by one elder to the “Wedasitina Maligaya” or the Inner Chamber.

Every Wednesday he could be met at his office at Sri DaladaMaligawa. A prior appointment to be booked through the administration division of Sri DaladaMaligawa. (Contact number of administration division +94 812204867)

There is a special service available for those with special needs. If your family member or friend need special assistance, please call the administration office (0812234226)  to avail the transportation service from the main entrance and to use the lift.
