Upon entering from the Mahawahalkada, the visitor is expected to access the Maligawa through a Dragon-arch, made of stone. On either side are statues of door keepers. The Head of statue of the dragon is beautified with a creeper decoration. The door frame 12.5 ft in height and 15.5 ft in width has also been carved out of a stone. Among the beautifully sculptured stone creepers are petta and lotus flowers.
