Magul Maduwa or hall of ceremony gains a prominent place among wooden structures in the
Kandyan period. According to historical sources, the structure was built by Rajadhi Rajasinha
(1783 A. D).More Wooden pillars have been added during later renovations. The king met with
his visitors here and, the venue also hosted the signing of ill famous Kandy treaty
