The annual Katina Cheewara Pooja Festival of Sri Dalada Maligawa was held yesterday (Oct. 14) and today (Oct. 15), with the blessings of the Chief incumbents of Malwatu and Asgiriya chapters. The organizing was done by Kotmale Sudharma theri of Lady Bleck Aramaya in Katukele under the guidance of Most Ven. Wedaruwe Sri Upali anunayake thero of Asgiriya chapter, who is in charge of Dalada thewa currently. The main sponsor of this years Katina Cheewara Pooja was Mr Ishara Nanayakkara the chairman of LOLC Group of companies & his family members. The Buddha pooja, Katina Cheewara Pooja (offering of a robe) with the “Kapruka” and alms to more than 100 maha sangha was part of todays event.
ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගයේ වාර්ෂික කඨින චීවර පූජා මහෝත්සවය ඊයේ (ඔක්. 14) දින සහ අද (ඔක්. 15) යන දෙදින පවත්වා අවසන් විය. මල්වතු හා අස්ගිරි උභය මහා විහාරීය අතිපූජ්‍ය මහානායක මාහිමිපාණන් වහන්සේලාගේ ආශිර්වාද‍යෙන් සහ ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ වත්මන් තේවාව භාර, සියම් මහා නිකායේ අස්ගිරි පාර්ශවයේ අනුනායක, පොළොන්නරුව සොළොස්මස්ථානාධිපති, මහනුවර අස්ගිරි ගෙඩිගේ රජමහා විහාරාධිපති අතිපූජ්‍ය වෙඬරුවේ ශ්‍රී උපාලි නාහිමිපාණන් වහන්සේගේ උපෙද්ශකත්වයෙන් යුතුව මහනුවර, කටුකැලේ ලේඩිබ්ලේක් ආරාමාධිපතිනී කොත්මලේ සුධර්මා සිල් මෑණියගේ සංවිධායකත්වයෙන් පැවති මේ වසරේ කඨින චීවර පූජා මහෝත්සවය සඳහා ප්‍රධාන අනුග්‍රහය දැක්වූයේ LOLC සමූහයේ සභාපති ඉෂාර නානයක්කාර මැතිතුමා ඇතුළු පවුලේ පිරිස විසිනි. මුළුතැන් බුද්ධ පූජාව සහ කප්රුක සහිත කඨින චීවර පූජාව, සියක් නමකට අධික මහා සංඝරත්නය උදසා සිදුකළ සපිරිකර සංඝගත දක්ෂිනාවකින් සමන්විත විය.
