The first harvest of the “Yala season” was offered to the Sacred Tooth Relic today the 3rd of October. This was organized by the Tanks Reservoirs and Irrigation Development authority related to Rural Paddy Fields of Ministry of Irrigation for the 5th consecutive time.
“Kiri Ahara” ( a special milk rice) was offered to the Sacred Tooth Relic followed by a procession of farmers carrying the first harvest, whole grains, and golden bunches of rice grains which was offered amidst the chanting of pirith.
