The first harvest of the “Maha season” was offered to the Sacred Tooth Relic today (Mar. 26) by Mahaweli farmers. Farmers from Polonnaruwa, Badulla & Ampara districts took part in this offering of the first harvest representing the farming colonies in the Mahaweli region.
මහවැලි ගොවීන් මහකන්නයේ දී නෙලා ගත් අස්වැන්නෙන් අග්ර කොටස දළදා හාමුදුරුවන්ට පූජා කිරීමේ “මහවැලි මහ අස්වනු පූජාව” අද (මාර්තු 26) දින පෙරවරුවේ ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ දී පැවැත්වීය. මහවැලි සී කළාපයේ ගොවි ජනපද නියෝජනය කරමින් පොළොන්නරුව, බදුල්ල, අම්පාර යන දිස්ත්රික්කවල ගොවීන් විසින් නෙලාගත් අස්වැන්නේ අග්ර කොටස දළදා සමිඳුන් අභියස දී පූජා කිරීම මෙහිදී සිදු විය.
