As per the ancient rituals, the oil needed for lighting of lamps for the “Karthika” festival was distributed today the 5th. 103 oil neli ( an ancient mesuring) was taken to Sri Maha Natha Devala premises from Sri Dalada Maligawa and was distributed among the four main Devala and Rural Devales by the official called “Kariya Karawana Korala” and other officials according to the “Karthika” list.

2022 වසරේ කාර්තික මංගල්ලය සඳහා පහන් දැල්වීමට අවශ්‍ය තෙල් බෙදා දීම පුරාතන චාරිත්‍රානුකූලව අද(නොවැ.5) දින සිදු විය. තෙල් නැලි එකසිය තුනක් ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ සිට මහනුවර ශ්‍රී මහා නාථ දේවාල භූමියට රැගෙන ගොස් එහි දී කාරියකරවන කෝරාළ ඇතුළු නිල කරුවන් විසින් කාර්තික වට්ටෝරුව අනුව සතර දේවාලය ඇතුළු අනෙකුත් සිද්ධස්ථාන හා පිටිසරබද දේවාලවලට තෙල් බෙදාදීම මෙලෙස සිදු කරන ලදී.
