“Aluth Sahal Mangallaya” offering of the first harvest of paddy to the Sacred Tooth Relic will take place in a few days on the Duruthu full moon Poya day. The first harvest of paddy was brought to Sri Dalada Maligawa today(31 Dec.) from the “Atuwa” or storing place in Pallekele in a procession adorned with elephants, drummers & dancers. As per the ancient rituals, the measuring and allocating of the portions for Sri Dalada Maligawa & the four Devala took place yesterday at the “Atuwa” storage.
උදාවන නව වසරේ අළුත් සහලින් උතුම් දළදා සමිඳු පුදන “අළුත් සහල් මංගල්ලය” එළඹෙන දුරුතු පුර පසළොස්වක පොහෝ දින සිදු කිරීමට නියමිතයි. ඒ වෙනුවෙන් කෙත් වතුවලින් නෙලා ගත් වී අස්වැන්නේ සහලේ අග්‍ර කොටස පල්ලෙකැලේ පිහිටි ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ වී අටුවේ සිට ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාව වෙත අද (දෙසැ.31) දින අලි – ඇතුන් පිරිවරා ගත් සංස්කෘතිකාංග සහිත පෙරහරින් රැගෙන එනු ලැබුවා. පෙර දිනයේ සහල් මැන, ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාව හා සිව් මහා දේවාල වල කොටස් වෙන් කිරීම පුරාතන සිරිත් සම්මත චාරිත්‍රවලට අනුව සිදු වූයේ පල්ලෙකැලේ පිහිටි ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවට අයත් වී අටුවේදී ය.
Aluth Sahal Mangallaya the offering of milk rice made out of the first harvest took place today (06 Jan.) on this Duruthu full moon Poya day morning. This is the first festival out of the four festivals performed to pay homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic.
2023 නව වසරේ දළදා සමිඳුන් උදෙසා සිදුකළ සතර මහා මංගල්ලයන්ගෙන් ප්‍රතම මංගල්ලය වූ “අලුත් සහල් මංගල්ලයේ” අලුත් සහලින් පිසූ බුද්ධ පූජාව ශ්‍රී දළදා සමිඳු අභියස පූජා කිරීම අද (ජන.06) යෙදී ඇති දුරුතු පුර පසළොස්වක පොහෝ දා පෙරවරුවේ චිරාගත සම්ප්‍රදායානුකූලව සිදු කරනු ලැබුවා.
