The new temple building of “Mathgamuwa temple” which is in the Malwathu temple premises was declared open today ( Feb. 05). According to ancient rituals the temple was handed over with a “Sannasa”( an official document of hand over) to Most Ven. Dibulkumbure Wimaladhamma thero, anu nayake of the Malwathu chapter by Hon. President. The key to the temple was offered by the Navy Commander, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugethenna.
The ancient building was totally removed and a new 3 storey building constructed by navy as per instructions of His Excellency the president.
Sabaragamuwa Governor, Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Secretary of Buddhist Affairs, Prof. Kapila Gunawardena, Mr. Ganesh Dharmawardena, Mahendra Ratwatte, Basnayake Nilame of Vishnu Dewalaya were present at the occasion.
මහනුවර ඓතිහාසික මල්වතු මහා විහාර භූමියේ පිහිටි “මාත්ගමුව පන්සලේ” අභිනව විහාර ගොඩනැඟිල්ල අද (පෙබ. 05) දින පෙරවරුවේ විවෘත කරන ලදී. ඓතිහාසික වත් පිළිවෙත් වලට අනුව මෙම නව ගොඩනැඟිල්ල සන්නස් පත්‍රයක් මඟින් සඟසතු කොට මල්වතු පාර්ශ්වයේ ශ්‍රීමත් අනුනායක අතිපූජ්‍ය දිඹුල්කුඹුරේ විමලධම්ම හිමියන් වෙත ජනාධිපතිතුමා අතින් පූජා කෙරිණ. අනතුරුව නාවික හමුදාපති වයිස් අද්මිරාල් නිශාන්ත උළුගේතැන්න මහතා ගොඩනැඟිල්ලේ යතුර අනුනායක හිමියන් වෙත පූජා කළේය.
