The updated Japanese exhibition hall at the World Buddhist Museum of Sri Dalada Maligawa was opened this afternoon (March 15) by Hon. Mizukoshi Hideaki, Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka. The World Buddhist Museum consists of 18 exhibition halls from 17 countries where Buddhism is popular. This work was done with the guidance and contribution of Mahanayake Othani Chojun Thera of Honganshi Vihara in Japan.
The Anunayake theros of Malwathu & Asgiri chapters, Hon. Diyawadana Nilame of Sri Dalada Maligawa, Mr. Karu Jayasuriya, who was the former speaker, the officials of the Japanese Embassy, the Governor of the Central Province were present at the occasion.
බුදු දහම ප්‍රචලිත ලෝව රටවල් 17ක ප්‍රදර්ශණ මැඳිරි 18කින් සමන්විත ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ පිහිටි ලෝක බෞද්ධ කෞතුකාගාරයේ ජපාන බුදු දහම නිරූපිත මැඳිරිය යාවත්කාලීන කිරීමෙන් පසු අද (මාර්තු 15) පස්වරුවේ ජපානයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා තනාපති මිසුතොෂි හිඩේඅති මහතා අතින් විවෘත කරන ලදී. ජපානයේ හොංගන්ෂි විහාරයේ මහානායක ඕතනි චෝජුන් හිමියන්ගේ උපදේශකත්වයෙන් හා දායකත්වයෙන් යුතුව මේ කටයුත්ත සිදුවිය.
මේ අවස්ථාව සඳහා මහා විහාර වංශික ශ්‍යාමෝපාලි මහා නිකායේ මල්වතු හා අස්ගිරි මහා විහාර පාර්ශවයන්හී අතිපූජ්‍ය අනුනායක නාහිමිපාණන් වහන්සේලා වැඩම කළ අතර, ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ ගරු දියවඩන නිලමේ තුමා, හිටපු කතානායක කරූ ජයසූරිය මහතා, ජපාන තානාපති කාර්යාලයේ නිලධාරීන්, මධ්‍යම පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාර තමන් ඇතුළි පිරිසක් සහභාගි වූහ.
