The Sri Dalada Maligawa now offers a unique opportunity for foreign visitors to experience meditation in a peaceful and untouched area of the Udawatta Kale Rain Forest of Kandy. A special green-belt zone, located just a few minutes from the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, has been carefully reserved for this purpose. No artificial structures have been added, ensuring a natural, quiet, and spiritually calming environment. This opportunity is completely free of charge.

Available Time Slots

Meditation sessions are available daily during two time periods:

  • Morning Session
  • Evening Session

Visitors may choose any preferred session based on availability.

Who Can Reserve
  • Reservations are exclusively available to Registered foreign tour operator companies
  • Individual tourists cannot make direct bookings. Reservations must be handled through their tour operator.

  • The meditation area is located within a natural forest therefore proper footwear is recommended
  • Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the session
