සිංහලයේ අව­සන් රාජ­ධා­නිය හා බැඳුණු ප්‍රතා­ප­වත් චරිත 36ක ගේ ජීව­මාන ප්‍රමා­ණයේ අනුරූ ප්‍රති­නි­ර්මා­ණය කර­මින්, සෙංකඩගල ඇහැ­ලේ­පොළ වලව්ව පරි­ශ්‍රයේ ස්ථාපිත කෙරුණු මෙරට ප්‍රථම ඓතිහාසික ඉටි රූ කෞතු­කා­ගා­රය 2025 ජූලි 17 දින පෙරවරුවේ ජනාධිපති ගරු අනුර කුමාර දිසා­නා­යක මහතා අතින් විවෘත කරන ලදී. ප්‍රදීප් නිලංග දෑල ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ ගරු දියවඩන නිලමේ තුමාගේ සංකල්පයක් මල්ඵල ගන්වමින් ඉදි වූ මේ කෞතුතාගාරය, මහනුවරට පැමිණෙන දහස් ගණනක් වූ දෙස් විදෙස් සංචාරකයින් වෙත නවමු අත්දැකීමක් තිලින කිරීමට සූදානම්. පොත-පතට, ඉතිහාස කතාන්දරවලට සීමා වූ කන්ද උඩරට රාජධානියේ සුවිශේෂී තතු විත්ති, ඇහැලේපොල ඉටි රූ කෞතුකාගාරය තුල දැන් ජීවමාන වී තිබේ.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake ceremoniously inaugurated Sri Lanka’s first historical wax museum todayon 17th July 2025 at the Ehelepola Walawwa premises in Senkadagala, Kandy. This landmark cultural attraction features life-size wax figures of 36 prominent individuals associated with the final era of the Sinhala monarchy.
The museum is the realization of a concept proposed by the Hon. Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa, Pradeep Nilanga Dela, and aims to enhance the cultural and historical appreciation of both local and international visitors.
By transforming centuries-old stories and historical records of the Kandyan Kingdom into vivid, three-dimensional exhibits, the Ehelepola Wax Museum provides a unique and educational experience, preserving the legacy of Sri Lanka’s rich heritage.
