ලබන නව වසරේ අලුත් සහලින් උතුම් දළදා සමිඳුන් වහන්සේ පුදන “අලුත් සහල් මංගල්ලය 2026” එළඹෙන දුරුතු පුර පසළොස්වක පොහෝ දින සිදු කිරීමට නියමිතයි. ඒ වෙනුවෙන් කෙත් වතුවලින් නෙලා ගත් වී අස්වැන්නේ සහලේ අග්ර කොටස පල්ලෙකැලේ පිහිටි ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ වී අටුවේ සිට ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගාව වෙත 2025 දෙසැම්බර් 30 වන දින අලි – ඇතුන් සහිත සංස්කෘතිකාංග වලින් යුත් පෙරහරින් රැගෙන එනු ලැබුවා. පෙර දිනයේ සහල් මැන, ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගාව, නින්දගම්වලට අයත් විහාරස්ථාන, මහනුවර සිව් මහා දේවාල හා පිටිසරබද දේවාල වලට අයත් කොටස් වෙන් කිරීම සිරිත් සම්මත චාරිත්රවලට අනුව සිදුකරේ පල්ලෙකැලේ පිහිටි ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ වී අටුවේදී ය.
Aluth Sahal Mangallaya 2026 the sacred offering of the first harvest of paddy to the Sacred Tooth Relic will take place in a few days on the Duruthu Full Moon Poya Day (on 3rd January 2025).
The first harvest of paddy was brought to Sri Dalada Maligawa on 30th December 2025 from the “Atuwa” (storage facility) in Pallekele, in a traditional procession adorned with Elephants, drummers, and dancers. In accordance with ancient rituals, the measuring and allocation of portions for Sri Dalada Maligawa, Temples, four Devalas of Kandy and Rural Devalas took place on 29th December 2025 at the Atuwa storage facility.
