2026 ලෝක සංචාරක දිනය (World Tourism Day) නිමිත්තෙන් ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගාව විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද විශේෂ සැමරුම් වැඩසටහන විදේශීය සංචාරකයින් සහ ආරාධිත අමුත්තන් රැසකගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් 2026 ප්තැම්බර් 27 වන දින දින සාර්ථකව පැවැත්විණි.
“Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism” යන්න මෙවර ලෝක සංචාරක දින තේමාව වූ අතර, එය අර්ථවත් කරමින් ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ නිල වෙබ් අඩවිය වෙත අලුතින් හඳුන්වා දුන්, ඇත්ගාලට අයත් හස්ථිරාජවරුන්ගේ නම් වලින් නම්කර ඇති AI Assistant විශේෂාංගය ද පැවැති උත්සවයේදී දියත් කෙරිණි. මේ ඔස්සේ මාලිගාව වෙත පැමිණෙන දේශීය මෙන්ම විදේශීය සංචාරකයින් හට ස්වයංක්රීය මඟපෙන්වීමක් (Self-Guidance) සහ අත්යවශ්ය තොරතුරු ඉතා පහසුවෙන් ලබා ගැනීමට අවස්ථාව සැලසේ.
මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා විවිධ රටවල් නියෝජනය කරමින් විදේශීය සංචාරකයින් 50 කට අධික පිරිසක් එක්ව සිටි අතර, ඔවුන් වෙත ඓතිහාසික ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගා පරිශ්රය, ඇත්ගාල මෙන්ම ඇහැලේපොල වලව්වේ පිහිටි ඉටි රූ කෞතුකාගාරය නැරඹීම සඳහා විශේෂ පහසුකම් සලසා දී තිබුණි.
අනතුරුව පැවැති සැමරුම් උත්සවයේදී, මෙරට අලංකාර දේශීය සංස්කෘතිකාංග, පාරම්පරික දේශීය ආහාර සහ ලොව සුපතල ශ්රී ලාංකේය තේ සංස්කෘතිය පිළිබඳ පූර්ණ අත්දැකීමක් විදේශීය සංචාරකයින් වෙත තිළිණ කිරීමට පියවර ගැනිණි. උත්සවයේ ප්රධාන දේශනය ප්රවීණ රාජ්ය තාන්ත්රික නිලධාරියෙකු වන ආචාර්ය පාලිත කොහොන මහතා විසින් සිදු කරන ලදී.
මෙම වැඩසටහන සාර්ථක කරගැනීම සඳහා ශ්රී ලංකා සංචාරක ප්රවර්ධන කාර්යාංශය, මධ්යම පළාත් සංචාරක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව, හන්තාන තේ කෞතුකාගාරය සහ මහනුවර Radh හෝටලය යන ආයතනය සහයෝගය ලබා දෙන ලදී.
To mark World Tourism Day 2026, Sri Dalada Maliga organized a special celebration on 27th September 2026, bringing together over 50 foreign tourists and distinguished guests.
Aligning with this year’s theme, “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism”, Sri Dalada Maligawa officially launched an innovative AI Assistant feature on its official website during the event named majestic elephants belonging to the royal elephant stable. Starting today, this tool offers visitors and tourists an interactive self-guidance experience and quick access to essential information.
During the program, guests were guided through the sacred Sri Dalada Maliga complex, the Royal Elephant Stables, and the Wax Museum at Ehelepola Walawwa. The main event showcased Sri Lanka’s rich heritage through vibrant cultural performances, authentic local cuisine, and world-renowned Ceylon tea. Veteran diplomat Dr. Palitha Kohona delivered the keynote address, highlighting the cultural significance of Sri Lankan tourism.
This event was organized with the support of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, the Central Province Tourism Department, the Tea museum of the Hanthana, and Radh Hotel Kandy.
