Offered to Sri Dalada Maligawa by General Manager, Sri Lanka Electricity Board on 02.08.2014 (today) for electrification of the entire premises of Sri Dalada Maligawa premises.
The traditional “Kap” planting of historic Esala Pageant of Sri Dalada Maligawa was ceremonially held at the auspicious hour on 27th (Sunday) July 27th 2014.
This ceremonial occasion was represented by Hon.Diyawadana Nilame, Sri Dalada Maligawa and the ‘Basnayaka Nilames’ of the four Devales.
In obtaining a well and systematically prayed for branch of “Panasa” tree from North West the traditional “Kap” planting is done chiefly with the participation of Basnayake Nilames of the four Devales and other Nilames of the nearby Devales.
The newly established Waste Water Purification Project with financial contribution from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and other assistance from University of Peradeniya, Water Supply and Drainage Board was ceremonially presented to Sri Dalada Maligawa in the morning hours of JULY 10TH 2014.
